2005 Past Presidents Bonspiel
On Saturday, October 22, we held the third annual Marg Lyon Past Presidents Bonspiel. Six teams, featuring 9 past presidents competed. The team skipped by past president Bill Rookley held off a late charge by the Don Lefebvre rink, skipped by Gord McKindsey, in the first game. They then went on to defeat a strong Paul Campigotto rink, skipped by Rene Demers, to win the spiel. All of the competitors had a lot of fun, and enjoyed reminiscing about their many good times at the club. Bart Maves was on hand to present the Marg Lyon trophy, and give a nice speech about Marg. Congratulations go out to the winning team of Bill Rookley (skip), Todd Lawson (vice), Bill Houston (second), and Janet Rookley (lead).
